![]() Getting the trots the day after a taltz injection. and if you're just a day or few days post-taltz injection, you likely haven't even begun to experience the true power of what this drug does. You've got a whole buncha stuff going on there. these conditions/symptoms have been a part of the manifestation of your particular flux of immune-related illness as it pertains to your personal version of psoriasis.īut please, don't start lowering the lifeboats and jumping ship while your ship is still securely moored in the harbor. You're not only not comparing apples to oranges - you're comparing avocados to ostriches. While you can put taltz under a wide umbrella of drugs that persons refer to as 'biologics' - the engine that drives this particular drug's effectiveness is in relationship to it's suppression within the dynamics of IL-17a - an entirely different 'plan of attack' that is NOT at all utilized by either humira or enbrel. And it's so night-and-day removed from the processes involved in the other drugs that you mentioned (humira and enbrel) that you would be wrong to assume that taltz is acting on the same co-factors as the others. ![]() It pains me to see you walking away from something as powerful as taltz after just one dose with the assumption that side effects and symptoms you're experiencing are a result of the drug or an allergic response to it.įirst, understand, taltz is not a drug that you're not likely going to start to see 'overnight' reactions from. I live in Michigan and have only found one trial ever going on and that was about 50 miles from me, to top it off it was a trial drug V Enbrel which as I said I'm allergic to. It's great that you are near a trial clinic. I hope you find the medication that will help you. OMG! I am allergic to Humira, Enbrel and MTX Stelara quit working ,Remicade or Cosentyx did nothing for me so I certainly hope Taltz and I do well together because I'm covered with this hateful stuff. Oh my, you and Taltz didn't get along at all and I'm sorry that happened to you. These bio drugs are so outrageously expensive to start with then you get the Pharmacy taking a big mark up and you need a wheelbarrow full of money to afford them. No one knows for sure what the actual cost is except the drug company that makes it and they don't give that information out. Like I mentioned before Walgreens charged 5,000 more for one 90mg injection of Stelara than Diplomat which was around 10,000 per and Walgreens 15,000. As with the other bios you get people saying one cost and someone else saying there cost is more or less. Price is not public knowledge and it will also depend on what Specialty Pharmacy it's Rx through for they charge for handling and getting the medication to the patient. As far as they are concerned it is what it is, If you can't afford the co-pay. They also lied and said they were but I know they never tried to seek funding. ![]() Pretty Awful for a Pharmacy to price gouge like that. ĭiplomat was always so helpful when I went through them, Then my doctor was forced to start using Walgreens Specialty because CMS/ Medicare had a contract with them for Stelara and the cost of the drug went up about 5,000 going through them. There for I need to rely on help from Foundations and that's if they have any left for they run out of funds pretty quick. When I was on Stelara the drug had gone to 15,000 for one 90mg shot so left me with around 3,700 co-pay and the drug companies can't help Medicare people, it's against the law. Then I deal with the gap /donut hole where they pay nothing until I pay over 4, 000 out of pocket then that puts me in catastrophic then the ins picks up again. My co-pay is 35% this year so that's a lot when your talking Thousands of dollars. I am on Medicare and have Blue Cross Advantage as well. ![]()
